By far the most popular place to have your wedding photographs taken in Kilkenny is the Castle. It has so much to offer and provides a spectacular backdrop to any set of photographs. In summer the best place to visit is the rose garden. Adorned with thousands of fabulous rose blooms, and a spectacular fountain, it really is a place of beauty. A word of warning though, it can get very busy with both tourists, locals and other bridal parties!
Taking a walk around the Castle to the courtyard gives you a very different view of this spectacular building. This area gives you the option of using the huge entrance doors to the Castle from The Parade. Walking down through the Castle Park also offers wonderful wide open spaces, spectacular daffodils in spring and majestic mature trees to help to shade you on a sunny day.
